THE SOCCER-CENTRIC BREWERY OF NEW JERSEY
Varitage has quickly planted it's flag as THE Soccer-Centric Brewery of New Jersey. From early morning matchdays in Europe to a home away from home for local supporters of the New York Red Bulls & Gotham FC the soccer vibes have been growing rapidly in our small brewery on Washington St. Sprinkle in collaborations with former pro soccer players and we are working with quite the recipe to satisfy the thirst of the quintessential soccer fan.
WHY SOCCER?
The Soccer-Centric concept was always ingrained in the Varitage DNA. Varitage Owner/CEO/Head Brewer, Mark Costa, grew up playing soccer in New Jersey, went on to play college soccer and is currently a local High School soccer coach. He spent the weekends either on a soccer field in the Northeast or down in the Ironbound with his Dad catching matches from all over Europe. "Those afternoons watching soccer with my Dad and fellow fans was always special. It was my childhood. It was our tradition. I wanted to bring that tradition to our taproom. We're building a soccer community here on Washington St and it's awesome to watch it all unfold.", said Costa.
WHAT TO EXPECT..
You can expect to find a community here. New friends with a shared passion, the beautiful game. Be sure to follow us on Instagram (@varitagebeer / @varitagesc) OR sign up for our mailing list to get the full scoop on our weekly matchday schedules. We do open early for Premiere League matches and we are THE place to catch New York Red Bulls & Gotham FC matches. We are a home away from home for Toricida96 (NYRB Supporters) & Cloud9 (Gotham FC Supporters), but all fans are welcome during these matches! Just keep in mind. You may want to get here early it gets very crowded very quickly.
We are a family friendly brewery. We're more than just beer here at Varitage. Bring the family down for a match and make memories with us. This is the reason why we do what we do around soccer. It was always a tradition for our family and we want it to become a tradition for you as well.

We have multiple TV's strategically placed around the brewery for optimal matchday views. For the really big matches we also bring in a 10 foot projector with surround sound.

Don't get us started on the upcoming World Cup in 2026. You can be certain that we will be THE HUB for the tournament with events both indoors and outdoors.

It's still wild to us to think that we have shared our brew deck with some of the players we idolized growing up. We are on a mission to raise awareness of the game and help mold the next generation of soccer players coming out of our state through various charitable partnerships and with the help of New Jersey Soccer Legends.
